It can handle some breeze and yes personally would recommend it as a 1st as it's very smooth, gentle, forgiving to fly and can take some beating like mine has plus you can practice indoors to

You can never be too old to fly planes/helis. I'm teaching my 5 year old to fly my 3 chanel micro co-axial heli!!

I love watching people that know how to have pure fun good for you !! Too many folks as they age, let the child in them die or be minimized.....bullcookies. I'm 54 and can still play like this and love it. Fly and play on everyone !!

dont buy this plane!!
i have it the charger died in a month! othervise the plane is very easy to fly...
o and the propeler brakes quickly
