RC Star Wars Tie Fighter Interceptor!
Here is a Tie Fighter Interceptor I built from drawings and pictures I found on the Internet. Since the first time I seen the Interceptor in the movies when I was a Kid it was my favorite ship. I always liked the aggressive style to it and the sounds they made. Here is a link to a forum to where I posted the entire build. Most of it I think http://www.wattflyer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48394 A lot has changed in RC Flight with electrics and with that it has opened a whole new doorway of possibilities. Due to the extremely powerful brushless motors and light weight and high powered Lithium Batteries you can pretty much make anything fly that you may not have had the chance to 20 years ago. This was scratch built from balsa, blue foam from Lowes and some carbon fiber tubes and rods. Building with blue foam is fairly inexpensive and with the amount you get you can make a lot . These wont break your wallet and you can have hours of making up things to build and fly. The Tie Interceptor is 3' long 34'' wide and 28'' tall and about 2 lbs. It is powered by 3530-10 Brushless and a Power Up 40 amp. ESC. Battery is a 25c 1650 3s Lithium. Control is done using Delta style wing configuration. Very easy and fun to fly. So here is another video of the Star Wars Tie-Fighter Interceptor after some editing. Hope you guys enjoy! Gig540

@remotecontrolaholic I asked them that, Because supposedly it is a high powered unit that would blow out a smaller speaker. The suggested rated speaker is way to heavy whether its using theirs or another brand of the same rating. I was a bit disappointed when I found out. As this would have been a nice addition
@Gig540 why do you have to use their speaker?
@Gig540 He's talking about Robot Chicken starwars.
Make a 20 foot wingspan of this and fly it over Washington lol lol
fly over the airforce!
@kynen hey you know there is a company out of Canada that makes a device to attach to the speed controller. You can add any type of engine sound to work along with the throttle. I found the sound for the Tie and called about it. Although it was expensive the overall weight was to much. It came to be about a pound almost of added weight. You had to use their speaker which weighed to much so I could not use it. Was a real bummer because it would of sounded pretty cool.
You should put a speaker on it with a loop of the tie interceptor engine noise..!
why dont you make the pod racers from episode 1 !!!!!!!!!
make the star destroyer fly and people will say the empire is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@MDSCUSTOMS Thank you!
Nice work !! - You have certainly captured the looks of this one very well, shows even better in the air too with that distinctive shape - looks very menacing !!
@spektrum33 yeah my feet never touched the ground since day I was born. Typing this right now from the air.

@Gig540 Thank you for your detailed answer, you're very kind! Many 70's/80's movies soundtracks are such masterpieces. Nice channel by the way, great hobby without the g force effect :) Peace be upon you. tinyurl com/g-forcefx
DUDE THATS BAD(good bad)- Ric
@easyrhinotuber Thank you sir! The sound track is from Episode IV when the Ties were attacking the Falcon. This is the part where Luke and Han maned the guns and shot the down. The last part of the soundtrack Was from episode VI in the Emperors throne room. Although I think these tracks were used through out all the episodes but this is just where I purchased them from. Thanks for watching! Gig540
